A cold-water wetsuit designed for women's bodies. Handcrafted in Japan, one at a time.

Basalt's Smoothskin 4/3 is constructed of premium Japanese limestone smooth rubber and durable jersey with recycled fabric lining.

The suit is easier to slip on and off thanks to our curved front zip entry, low-profile ankle zippers, and an internal pull to help slide it off your shoulders and arms.

Construction

Suits are made one at a time, with panels cut individually, glued, and blind-stitched with care

Craft

Handmade in a 15-person Japanese factory of long-term craftsmen, high retention, and strict quality control

Care

Rinse with fresh water after each use. Hang dry away from direct sunlight. Store flat or on a wide hanger to maintain shape.

If you sit between sizes on our size chart, we recommend choosing the larger size. A suit that’s too tight is harder to get in and out of and will wear out more quickly. A slightly looser suit will mold to your body with wear and may shrink a bit with age. See our Fit & Sizing page for help choosing a size.
